Terms & Conditions for car rental in Kiev

Reservations and Payment

Reservations are made by car category only. We cannot guarantee a specific car model although we always try to match your preference should you express one. Major credit cards as American Express, Visa, MasterCard are accepted as well as cash and payment by invoice. 
 

Rental rates

Rates include oil and maintenance, loss, damage and third party liability insurances, VAT, but not gasoline. Daily rates are for 24 hours from start of rental. If a daily rental period is exceeded by more than 29 minutes, another full day will be charged. Ask for long term rental rates if you wish to reduce expenses.

Liability of Renter

In case of damage or loss to the Hertz vehicle, its parts and accessories, theft, attempted theft or vandalism, and in case of fire, breakage of glass, the Renter, even without being at fault, is fully liable. The Renter is fully liable for all infringements committed while in possession of the vehicle.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

This option limits your financial liability for damage to the Hertz vehicle, its parts and accessories, except theft, attempted theft or vandalism, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.

CDW Non-Waivable Excess.

All rentals are subject to a non-waivable excess, in amount of 600 including VAT for groups Econom, Compact, Intermediate; 1200 for groups Standard, Full-size, 4x4; 1500 for group Premium and 2000 for group Luxury for which you are responsible in the event of damage to the Hertz vehicle during the rental. This option is obligatory and cannot be rejected.

Theft Protection (TP)

This option limits your financial liability for loss or theft of the Hertz vehicle, its parts and accessories, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. TP non-waivable excess. All rentals are subject to a non-waivable excess, in amount of 600 including VAT for Econom, Compact , Intermediate; 1200 for groups Standard, Full-size, 4x4; 1500 for group Premium and 2000 for group Luxury  for which you are responsible in case of theft of the Hertz vehicle during the rental. This option is obligatory and cannot be rejected.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)

This kind of insurance is already included in rates and covers sum of up to 8 000 per accident for each person in the rented Hertz vehicle in case of primary disability or death. Insurance doesnt cover medical expenses.

Equipment

During winter months all cars are equipped with winter tires As additional equipment, GPS-navigation systems and child seats are available for 12 per day, but not more than 60 for the whole rental period. Also we can offer wide choice of CDs for 2 per day, but not more than 10 for the whole rental period.

NEW!!! Hertz offers car's DVD-system. It's available for 12 per day, but not more than 60 for the whole rental period.

Deposit

You will be required to leave a deposit in amount of 600 including VAT for groups Econom, Compact , Intermediate; 1200  for groups Standard, Full-size, 4x4; 1500 for group Premium and 2000 for group Luxury if you wish to pay by cash. When paying by a credit card, the amount of deposit will be blocked on your account for the time of rent. When paying by an invoice, 100% prepaid is required.

Delivery / Collection

Cars may be delivered OR collected within limits of cities, where Hertz branches are situated, free of charge from 9:00 to 18:00 or for 24 including VAT during other hours. Both delivery and collection will be charged 24.

Minimum Age

The minimum age is 21 years for all car groups Econom, Compact , Intermediate and 25 years for groups Standard, Full-size, 4x4, 30 years for groups Premium and Luxury.

Driving License

The Renter should be in possession of a driving license for at least 2 years and a valid passport. The driving license must be valid for use in Ukraine.

Minimum Rental

Minimum self-drive rental time is 24 hours.

Chauffeur Drive

Chauffeur Drive service is provided upon reservation. The Renter pays only for the service and is not liable for the vehicle (theft, damage) and there is no deposit blocked on the credit card of the Renter. Minimal term of Chauffeur Drive service is 3 hours. For reservations please call to Hertz office at +38 (044) 492 32 70.

Airport Surcharge

Rentals at Boryspil and Simferopol International Airports locations are subject to an additional service charge of 18 including VAT per rental.

Gasoline

All cars are supplied with full tank of gasoline provided by Hertz. If a car is returned with less than a full tank, the Renter will be charged for a refilling service of 2.4 per liter.

Territory of driving

Driving outside of Ukraine is prohibited.

Additional Driver

In case of any additional driver, copies of his/her passport and driving license must be presented. The additional driver charge is 6 per day with a maximum 24 per rental including VAT.

Penalties

Hertz will charge a penalty of 240 including VAT for each case of lost car documents, keys or in case of damaged tires or any equipments.

Attention

The police MUST ALWAYS be called in case of: An accident or damage to the vehicle,

Injury to a person

Suspicion of theft of the vehicle or its parts. Any accident or damage to car must also be reported to the Lessor not later than after 24 hours. For more details, please, phone to us if you need car rental in Kiev.
